Todays game will be the warmest but temps will be falling and the winds are out of the WSW in the 20-25 mph range. Could really make it interesting.
Go Flames!

Love me some Augie references.
Tulane typically has a strong squad so don't make assumptions about Siena based on one series in the Big Easy.

Do we really have the speed and aggressiveness that forces teams into errors, or are we just benefitting from a lot of sloppy play so far?

Most likely sloppy play. I mean we obviously have a good team but it's not like we're playing very stiff competition.

With Kimmerer coming into the game in relief, wonder if he is getting set up to start one of the the mid-week games next week vs Virginia or JMU.

Could be the plan. Either way the JMU UVA games will be 2 of the top 5 toughest teams we face this year with UNC CCU and St Johns in there.

That's the kind of result that should make everyone happy. That's two good starts out of Ecklebarger. Hopefully that's a sign that he's going to be a legit Saturday starter this year.

Down goes Frazier!
They had to lose one eventually and they finally did. 9-7 Sienna in game 2 today. The scrappy, efficient offense was still there but the staff couldn't quite give enough to sweep the DH. Still an excellent start to the season.

crap. you know it had to happen sometime, but losing to a team that was 0-5 kinda blows.
oh well. On to the next one. Still swinging the bats well it would seem.

Did toman really just try to squeeze with bases juiced and 1 out with your number 3 hitter at the plate. Man another big mistake, just like the runner falling down around 2nd yesterday killing the rally in the 9th. I had hoped we were beyond teh questionable decisions. Yesterday really wasn't Toman's fault (other than putting Bankemper out there yet again). Just not sure about squeezing with your 3 hole hitter at the plate with a sac fly opportunity, maybe it wasn't a squeeze but it sure sounded like it on radio.
We really need Grauer back,
Now Cox with a bad baserunning error that erases another runner. We have done some idiotic things on the basepaths the last two days.

dispite all our attempts to give them the game, siena is even more gracious. 2 errors right through the 3b legs today, another balk, and the continued in ability of sienna to field a bunt haha. This team is pretty bad, it's kind of upsetting we lost that game yesterday. Anyway, flames up 4 to 2 headed to top 8. Clowers heading back out for his 4th inning of relief, decent 4 inning start from Lambert.

Liberty wins 4-2 (despite efforts to the contrary on the basepaths)

Clowers with 5 innings of no-hit ball to get the win. Great outing for the freshman.
