The Flames host this weekend tournament where each team plays four games. Lemoyne comes in with a 13-25 record and New Orleans is 3-37. New Orleans has dropped to a D2 program and Lemoyne will re-classify as D2 next year. LU should win all of these games easily in my opinion. Look for the usual starters in Niggli, Evans, and Linza, with the 4th starter to be Swanson, but who knows. GO FLAMES!

Anyone else find it strange that a school from Syracuse, NY is nicknamed the Dolphins?

AGS & CS.com regulars might be interested to note that the SID for UNO is none other than Texas Terror.

Remember they're the D2 team that beat Syracuse in an Exbibition game a couple years ago?

I do believe that was Matt Williams leading off the bottom of the 12th inning; as he hit a walk off HR.

We win again 3 to 2. I know you shouldn't ever complain about a win but we should be blowing out these games... especially UNO.

We should...but sometimes you get a pitcher on his best day...I mean the pitching in both our games so far has been outstanding for both sides.

3 and 40...and our bats are dead in the water...This weekend is kinda scaring me. Where did Beakler going CG come from. I wouldnt think he would have been stretched out enough to go that long

Dane may have the record for longest time between Division I starts.

dane was incredible today! one of the best if not the best performances all year by our pitching staff, but again the bats have been silent all weekend against weak competition.

For real haha I'm sure 99% of the players playing D-1 baseball right now weren't even in college yet when last started lol

LU beats Lemoyne 5-1 as Keegan Linza pitches a complete game. In the first game Blake Forslund and Jacob Kemmerer pitched really well. If anything this tournament was good to throw some of the pitchers who have not been getting much time.

I'll take the 4 wins. Although personally I bet we'd be laughed at nationally for scheduling such obvious "guarantee games". But, just my opinion. As bigsmooth said, it's a tune up for later.

i don't think so. they may not be great teams, but take a look at their schedules. all of their opponents are D1.

scoreboard was up and running as well, everything was done other than the clock on top and i assume teh speakers will be moved back there at some point, could be wrong on that. It's pretty impressive to say the least. It changes the complexion of the ballpark quite a bit. Also rocked some new white hats today that were pretty sweet as well.
