Our hitting % is down @ 35 points from last year AND our pitching ERA is up @ 1.50 over last year. This makes for a long season. The team is built on scratching out some offense, string hits together, steal bases, bunt runners over, etc but that only works when you have good pitching and stellar defense. We can only hope that we begin to win and get and stay on a roll to finish the season.

Great time for us to go on a five game skid. Yeah, let's do that right after there's an article pumping the baseball team to national prominence in an anniversary edition of the Liberty Journal. More people are watching right now than at any other time the past couple of years and we go and crap the bed five straight games.

biggest thing im seeing are the costly errors and now it appears that keegan is losing it like he did last year. Certainly the on again, off again hot bats do not help either. We can still salvage the series by winning the last two.

I read that article that SJ hinted on and it is a very good article but I think that they are promoting Coach Toman a little too much. This year we are far from where we expected to be and I am still not sure if the new bats have anything to do with it. I hasn't effected JMU that much at all. Just trying to come up with excuses as to why we are struggling so much at times, no consistency whatsoever with our offense and lack of depth in the pitching staff. Still hoping for the best for this series and the rest of the year.

complain about the offense, not that bats. That's what we need to start doing.

We are up 7-0 in the top of the 8th and Niggli is cruising with a 2 hitter. Let's close the deal this time!

Final score 9-0. Niggli and Kemmerer combine for a 3 hitter.

niggli was fantastic and the bats came alive again. we are simply an inconsistent team, but a win tomorrow and we win the series.

We desperately needed this type of victory to catch our breaths and regroup. Great confidence builder for Niggli and the sticks in the lineup.

Liberty with a run in each of the last three innings has cut it to a 9-8 game with 0 outs and the tying run on second
Austin Taylor trades places with Tyler Bream and the game is now tied!
