We're starting off league play much better than the beginning of the season. Let's get two more from the Bucs.

Keegan's throwing really well right now. We get 8-9 innings out of him every game so I hope he doesn't hit a wall at some point. He's pitching like I knew he could this year.

According to the local fishwrap, Coach Toman got tossed again Friday night.

CJ, I missed the game last one (my first miss!), so I don't know what happened. Hopefully, it wasn't too big of a deal. The one against Binghamton was quite an "event".

It wasn't an event. Quick hook. He did stick around for a good five minutes to harrass both umpires. Toman is likely suspended today since he's been tossed twice this year. From what I hear, Friday's crew was the same one that did the second Maryland game, and Toman got into it with them up in College Park. Might have been some residual issues from that.

Yep. Two out of three of the umps were from the second Maryland game. What was he actually tossed for?

Arguing Jefferson getting called out at second on a steal attempt.

We take game 2 5-1 as Niggli pitches our second straight complete game gem. I hope the bullpen guys brought their textbooks so they could get something accomplished during the games.

Gotcha, thanks. The umps had a "tough" game again today too. Both sides were chirping from the dugouts on a regular basis. The homeplate ump was giving it right back to the CSU bench on a number of occasions.
Another complete game effort - today by Niggli, and three hits each for Doug Bream and Haley.
What a beautiful day to watch baseball!!

Its good to see our starters getting long innings and preserving the bullpen. we have had a complete game in 3 of the last 7 and had the starters go at least 7 innings in all but the second Maryland game (I think). Its good to preserve arms wherever possible. If Steven can build on his last start and go 7 that will be big

I think Garrett Baker may have secured one of the midweek starting slots.

He may have...he absolutely did yeoman's work in the first game against Maryland...8 sterling innings after Kemmerer got off to a rough start.

Evans go the distance and LU gets the sweep with a 5-2 win. I wonder when was the last time LU got a sweep with three straight complete games...

Great series for the guys. With Coastal continuing to struggle (albeit against good competition), this year is starting to look like it may be the one where they're beatable in the tournament.
