Good win. Keegan seems to have it back on track this year. That's a very good sign.

like i said if we can ever get evans and forslund going we might have a little something if keegan is gonna throw like this all year. He has made 4 super starts. You don't have to worry about the bullpen if he keeps this up.
How are we lining up the rest of the way. Evans tommorow, niggli or forslund sunday or do you line up your best pitcher to go against east carolina. I say go with Evans tommorow and piece sunday together, come away with 2 out of 3, evans needs a confidence builder.

Nice win today 4-3! Good work by Niggli, Baker, and McLeod.
(Didn't know that Josh Richardson was hurt - hope it is only a short-term deal.)

We tried to give it away. I can't for the life of me understand why we bring a guy back for the 9th when we have a guy who is the closer (JJ right now since Josh is hurt) and only bring the closer in once we get in trouble.

SJ, do you have any details on Josh's injury?

I was thinking the same thing. Granted I don't follow baseball as much as you probably do but when Nick talked about it on radio I was like... why wasn't he in the game in the first place?

thats what sucks about baseball, it's hard to get any info on the guys. I still haven't heard what's wrong with Dudley. That being said today is a huge game, this is one of the top 3, if not the best team we will play this year. They are the only team to beat UVA who is now 15-1 after taking the first two games against #8 Clemson. As was previously noted, the at large is a long shot but if we want any hope of that coming around today is a must.

evans is making a bid for his best start of the year...7 k's thru 4 although he has gotten out of trouble with the K twice already. Keep this up...2-0 flames

We've done well defensively...in all three of Steve's starts so far he has been on the wrong end of a big inning because of a defensive miscue that if the play was made, probably changes the course of the inning and the game

huge full count K for stevo there against the pinch hitter in the 9 hole. i dont knwo what his pitch count is but it's gotta be up there. If Jrich wasn't hurt, we could have used him this weekend.

That's true, but he also has hurt himself by falling behind in the count in numerous situations and not finishing off innings. Example: two out, bases empty walk, then a double. And, as a senior, he is expected to pitch around some of the defensive miscues. He is that good!
Last week, he pitched very poorly in relief when we really needed him.
Having said that, he is "dealing" today! He is pitching like the Steve from last year, and how he is capable!

Great job for 7 1/3. Wow, Nick is right; he did get a great ovation. Now we need the bullpen to reward him by getting the last 5 outs!

they want this game too, the mincey kid they brought in relief is pretty much unhittable, .50 era in 18 innings haha.
