During an interview with Jerry during our football home opener against Savannah State, he mentioned our baseball stadium is rumored to need work. Any possibility for a winthropesque stadium?

I've seen the drawings, I'm not sure if they've ever been publicly released or not. It is needed and it will happen, I was unsure of the timetable however if Jerry is talking about it that's a great sign!
Expect a Jeffersonian feel to it. To fit in with the theme of Demos and other buildings.

GWU just re-did their stadium. Looks nice (like the brick and the entrance) but small.
only seats 600.
most seating is under cover- guess thats nice too.

I was just wondering if there has been any updates on improving or doing a total makeover of the baseball stadium. I mean something needs to be done quick, enough talking about and lets get it done. There is just not enough seats and setting on the ground is just not acceptable for a D1 program.

JB tweeted yesterday that Worthington should be getting a new scoreboard/video board for the beginning of this season. Pretty exciting news, and a much needed upgrade!

Coastal has a "big announcement" today at a noon presser regarding their baseball team. Not sure if it has to do with "stadium improvements" or not.

This is a good step in facility improvements. I'm looking forward to seeing a master plan of what they would like to add in the future.

It is great to see baseball getting some of the upgrades that nearly every other sport has been enjoying the past couple of years.

thats a HUGE upgrade.. I agree since baseball is the closest sport we have to competing for a top 25 spot at the highest level. Now if we can get some decent seating...

Does Liberty sell authentic baseball hats? If so, where can I get one? I did not find anything at the online store or on the Big South store. Did not feel this warranted it's own thread. That's why I posted here. Thanks in advance!

im happy aboiut the new scoreboard because the old one broke down every other game..lol. i would have love to see this money put toward a renovated new stadium, but im sure the money was allocated for the scoreboard. hopefully more improvements on the way as this is a sport where i feel we can go deeper in the NCAA tournament in the long run and on a more consistent basis.

They sell 4 different style New Era hats in the bookstore. They are really nice hats. I think they also sell the team hats at the clubhouse during the season. Dont know if they will continue to do that now they have them in the bookstore.

If you donate, they will build.
I know it sounds like a corporate answer, but the only way these improvements get done is through donations to the Flame Club.

The scoreboard will be a nice improvement and I am sure will be top of the line; but I just think that there are more important things that need to be addressed first. I think it would really help the program tremendously if stadium seating was added and upgrade the concession stand and the press box. I pray it happens in the very near future.
