PALM SPRINGS — Zack Haley was not supposed to be here.
Haley, who ranks top three on the Palm Springs Power baseball team in four major offensive categories (batting average, runs, hits and total bases) wasn't expected to make the 2010 Power roster.
Now, the junior from Yavapai College (a community college in Prescott, Ariz.) who has started nine of the first 10 games, is making the most of his opportunity.
Similar to his successful Power story, he wasn't sure what his future held for him next year at college. The Academic All-American wasn't expecting to land at a Division I baseball university, but that all changed when he got a call from Liberty University to come play for them in the fall.Click Here for Full Story
Haley heard about the opportunity at Liberty University after ex-Power player P.J. Jiminez graduated this spring, opening up a spot for Haley at second base.
