We'll be doing the video blog type of thing like we did at the women's basketball conference tournament and NCAA tournament for the baseball tourney. This'll be my last thing that I do for the website so I'm hoping it turns out as well as the others.

Unless G-webb pulls the upset looks like that's who you guys will get. Although -- from our perspective...no offense...we'd much rather play you guys than Coastal if we can get past a struggling VMI team. Granted it was VERY early in the year but we matched up pretty well with you guys and with the way we've been playing the last few weeks/the pitching performances we've been getting it would be nice to avoid Coastal in the 1st round.

The way VMI is playing right now, I think Ryan Dull could go out and shove on Tuesday. I smell a 'minor' upset...

The way VMI has been playing, one of the Jonas Bros. could shut out the Keydets.

If VMI loses today, Coach Ikenberry may want to disable his e-mail account.

Obviously its early but Asheville always seems to play better from ahead... Which is to be expected for a young team. 2-0 in the 2nd.

So much for that....VMI wins 7-4. From our perspective, gotta ask why they went with Dull so long. Errors killed us but after giving up 4 in the first 4 innings they ran him back out there (with a decently high pitch count on short rest) and let him die on the mound in the 5th before bringing in a fresh arm. Turned out to be the difference in the game.

Looks like you guys will probably end up with Winthrop? Although you never know how this next one will go.

Thanks, 'smooth'........no disrespect to our opponents the past five weeks, but all our issues were from the neck up.

Today's win should bring some confidence back to them........we'll see.

We're in the same hotel as VMI. Coastal's guys are staying about a block or so away from us. It's funny to walk out and see guys from three different teams walking around.

Goodie. We get the team we just struggled with at their place in the first game of the tourney.

Should I assume that Steven Evans will be getting the start today? Or will it be Tuefel?

I would think Evans, but Toman doesn't consult me!

If you watched the Coach's Corner video on LibertyFlames.com (yeah, I'm plugging my own stuff) you would see that Toman said we'd be throwing Evans.

Makes total sense to start Evans. He has an extra day of rest, plus he had a great outing last week against WU, while Shawn did not.
