The Rams come to town fresh off a sweep of CAA rival George Mason and are 30-20-1 overall, 15-5-1 in the CAA. VCU has won six straight. Game time is set for 4pm, which was a change from the original 7 pm first pitch. This is your last chance to see the Flames in action at home so come out if you can as LU looks to get back in the winning column.

Another shaky start for Linza. 3 runs on 5 hits with 4 WILD PITCHES in just 1 and a third innings. Roach has shut them down in relief for 4 2/3 innings.

Well that was a nice way to close out the home games this year! Tyler Bream just hit a 2 run bomb to win the game for LU 7-6. Reminescent of the Virginia Tech game last year. Now on to Winthrop.

Left work and got to the stadium and it was 6-4. Wife calls and asks me to come to Belk to help her find a wedding dress. A little while later II see a guy in Belk with a LU baseball shirt and asks him what the score was since I left. After sitting through the CCU series I was not happy. The joys of being married. .

Clutch hit for Tyler, I think he needed that for a little confidence booster. He's come up short in some big situations lately and what bigger boost than a swing and a drive to walk off.

I thought he swung the bat well against CCU however that backwards K was not. All in all he's really made some great changes (stride is completely different then it was Albert Pujlos style).

Either way I hope he keeps it up. If you think back to the middle half of the season when he was slumping he was unable to turn on the ball the way he has the last 4 or 5 games.
