The Gardner Webb series

I am hoping to see another winning weekend. The offense needs to jump out to a quick lead and not take a few innings to get warmed up. Unlike in the midweek games, I hope Coach T will leave hot bats in the lineup.
Interesting pitching scenarios this weekend. I sure hate that Beakler didn't get the recognition he deserved for the Big South Conference last week. No disrespect to Teufel but 2 wins in the week, a 15 K game, that hardly ever happens.
Don't take G-W lightly! It seems that another sweep or at least a winning series is necessary to stay in the hunt for post season play. Go get 'em Flames!

I agree on all your takes. We've made great progress and a strong weekend keeps a lot of things in place.

I'm glad coach got Negron back in there recently. He really adds a spark on the basepaths, is solid defensively, and is swinging a ridiculously hot stick right now. He mashed the ball every at bat tonight. Also the insertion of RIchardson seems to have sparked the lineup a bit as well. The only problme with the lineup I see right now is hitting Redal and Doug back to back. With some big series coming up that's gonna allow the opponent to bring in a lefty specialist to pitch to maybe 3 lefties in a row if Negron stays at the 9 hole. Now that the lineup is a bit more settled, if we can get Keegan strait and get Mcleod back I think this team can really do some damage down the stretch. Even more damage than they've done so far

Curran, Matt, and Kenneth all put on a show tonight. Curran went 4-5 with a homer, two runs, 3 RBI, and a steal. Matty had three hits (one was a double), a steal, 2 RBI, and a run. Kenny went 3-4 with three runs, two doubles, and a steal. He also almost had a straight steal of home. It was wiped off because of catcher's interference so he didn't get the credit for the steal but got the credit for the run. It's so much fun watching a team that has the running element as part of their game.

Football Team in attendance tonight

Kenneth has been hitting the ball very well lately. Let's hope we can keep his wheel's on the base paths!

Different note. How did the PA guy do tonight? A.S. and I are out of town, and a new guy was behind the microphone tonight.

He had the typical blips and mess ups that you would expect from not being comfortable with that second and a half delay. You and Allen are a little more energetic than him but he had a good voice and said the right things. I'm sure he'll do better tomorrow and will be good to go by the fall.

If you were at the game yesterday or watching on the video stream you saw Michael Robertson run full speed into the wall in right field and get knocked out.

When I got to the stadium today I saw that Kenneth Negron and Tyler Bream had put the outline of him hitting the wall in tape out in the exact spot. Yeah, it's been done before, but it's still hilarious to see.

Wasn't able to. It had to be taken down before the game started.

another nice win for the guys, but im concerned about who we throw for the two big mid-week games. since giannni and beakler threw today, i really curious. we need to beat mason and maryland to improve our regional chances.

Is he alright? Any concussion or other injuries?
