Game 1 just got interesting. Liberty led 8-4 heading into the bottom of the ninth but Presby's put three on the board and has a man at third with two out.

This is the second straight outing that Linza hasn't made it out of the first inning. Both times Beakler has saved the day with effective long relief.

Beakler had 15 K's in 6.2 innings. That is effective. Should he replace Linza in the weekend rotation? Let Keegan work out his problems in the mid-week games, maybe.

keegan's arm is shot. if you saw him against VMI,his velocity went down on evey pitch. he should rest for a few weeks or do some middle relief.

Schedule was changed to play 2 today, I assume due to threat of rain tomorrow. The first game started at 11, and we won 13-0 behind a complete game shutout by Teufel.

The final game is tomorrow at 1. They were going to play two but rain changed the plans.

9-5 Flames in the bottom of the 9th. Good job of taking care of business, it seems.

Spoke too soon? PC has the bases loaded and one out. Still 9-5.

We lead now 10-9 with the Wimmer double. No outs. Wimmer on third.

I am hoping that this 14-9 lead right now is safe.

We win 16-9 with that outburst in the 10th. Hard to believe we were on the verge of losing it in the ninth but we turn the double play with the pressure on and we take it from there. A very unusual game to say the least.

giving up leads late in the game is disturbing, but glad we are winning.

Yeah LU had some rough starts w/ VMI now some rough finishes with Presbyterian...but you got to love that they are finding ways to win even if they are sometimes ugly wins.

Total agree they need to find someway to get Linza back on track...it would really be nice if they could get him some rest. Then maybe one solid start before the BS tournament starts.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out how to give him rest. Start Beakler. He's the one pitching all the innings when Linza has started anyway. Come to think of it, Keegan really hasn't pitched much for the last 3 weeks, but maybe a complete shutdown will help
