Impressive win! Thankfully the bats are still solid. Are we looking for the sweep yet?

We gotta play em one day at a time, give it our best shot, and the good Lord willing, things will work out.

Radford had a chance in the seventh but Doug Bream threw out the tying run (at the time) at the plate and Richardson struck a man out with runners in scoring position and two down

Potential tying run, BJ. It's only a
tying run if the runner actually scores.

Thanks for the catch Cider...Richardson strikes out the last batter and gets the save pitching 3 2/3 innings.

Keegan Linza pitched 5 1/3 innings and as Beej said Josh Richardson goes 3 2/3 for the save. Richardson worked the Flames out of a bases loaded situation when he repalaced Linza. The Flames will go for the sweep tommorrow with left hander Steven Evans taking the mound. This was a real nice win in that the guys usually win in a slugfest, but played in a different fashion today and got it done.

Funny to me how the guys play well and there is very little chatter. we won on Tuesday and the talk was about how we nearly gave it away. We lost the second game of a DH with HPU after lighting them up in the first game and all everybody focused on was a pitching decision and the fact that we tried to swing away in the ninth inning. We've won eight of our last nine. As the Partridge family once sang "C'mon get happy!"

I like the way our bullpen has come along lately. There were countless times when we would get in a jamb with bases loaded one out and then get out of it with minimal damage and a lot of it had to do with our pen. That was the key to us getting the sweep. Our hitting seemed to be its usual self. Looks like Giannini, Richardson, Beakler, Umberger, and McCleod are guys we can depend on to close the deal and that is so important.
