Terrific home schedule with attractive dates against ACC schools Duke & Maryland and the huge CCU series comes to our ballpark.

I will be attending the first 3 games against KSU since its right by my house. KSU is a pretty good series to start. A-sun conference. full D-1 school coming off a DII national championship in the past 10 years. Always been a good program. Good start to the schedule!

Except no one will be there because of when it is.

attractive ACC series with Duke and Maryland??? they are ACC bottom feeders, but an ACC team nonetheless. we should do very well against both teams.

I read Toman's quote about being a more difficult schedule. i actually think this year's schedule is a quite a bit easier. Sure maybe some of the non-conference 3 game sets are a bit better than last year, but we played Ole Miss, UVA, UNC, all teams that made it to the super regionals and really competed with them well. Didnt we whack NC State, sweep duke, split with Tech right. I dont know I would say this year's is slightly easier

Why are UVA and Va Tech not on the schedule? Those are quality mid-week RPI opportunities within 100 miles.

Just took a quick glance at your schedule for next year -- actually pretty surprised that its scaled back so much compared to typical schedules??

I remember a few years (like 2006) where the argument was made that if Liberty did play more big-time opponents they might have snuck an at-large bid out, but I never really thought the scheduling was terribly soft. And certainly the last few years it hasn't been.

Not that I'm calling this 'soft' -- Winthrop is loaded up this year... And I really believe that they could be the team to beat instead of Coastal this year... And KSU is a solid ballclub. Duke is terrible and maryland isn't exactly Florida State or Miami... But the schedule does 'seem' softer.

I think its one of those schedules where it could end up being really tough, or it could end up seeming like a cupcake schedule (in terms of non-conference). UNC-Wilmington, Elon, and George Mason are all very good mid-major programs...And in a good year are as good as any mid-level ACC school, but, they also have down years so I think a schedule like this without the 'big names' is really tough to judge until the season actually begins.
