Flames Baseball Announces Additions for Upcoming Year

Lynchburg, Va.

Liberty Flames baseball head coach Matt Royer has announced the commitment of 12 student-athletes to attend Liberty for the upcoming 2006-07 academic year.

“This is an outstanding group of young men and we are pleased they have decided to become a part of the Liberty baseball family,” said Royer.

Of the 12 newcomers, six are pitchers, while several have played multiple positions during their baseball careers.

Negron was the MVP of Kingwood's 5A State Championship a year ago. He helped San Jac to the JUCO World Series this spring. He's not very big but he's a baller.

Impressive grouping. As much as I harp about the locals, it appears coach has really addressed needs.

Some transferes in there to. Some information on the Auburn transfere that I found on their website. His ERA was 4.35, 1-1, 27 SO, this year as a part time starter.
