Starts with us playing Radford tonight at 7pm in Asheville! It's a double elimination tourney as always, but I hope we save those till the end. Go Flames.

I was wondering when the tourney thread would get posted. Are there only 4 teams in the tourney? I was thinking 6 made it, with 1 & 2 getting first round byes. (i'm under the impression that we are 3 and radford is 2 - i may be wrong)

Yeah, you're wrong haha.

Teams 5-8 play in play in games to get to the final 6, who play a double elimination tournament. We're the 3, Radford is the 4.

VMI and High Point advanced to the field of 6, and VMI promptly lost to CCU, who moves on to the second round. VMI is out with another loss...

That is good to hear. I hope LU can make it to the title and beat whoever it will be (probably Coastal  )

Also, we need to just start calling Jeff Jefferson Mr. May or some other cliche nickname for a clutch baseball player. He homers in the bottom of the 5th and it's 6-3.

game one vs. Radford

VMI plays #2 Winthrop today. If they lose, they go home.
Coastal plays Radford, and Radford needs to win.
Liberty takes on #6 High Point, and High Point needs to win (or go home).

If HPU loses, they are still alive. They haven't lost yet.

The Eagle is correct. VMI v. WU is an elimination game for both teams, LU v. HPU has no potential for a knockout. HPU pulled the upset yesterday over Winthrop.

And the Iggles are in trouble, down 4-2 in the 5th to the Keydets.

Ok I talked to our friend Numbah1 down in NC:

If LU wins tonight they play at 3 PM tomorrow. a win then and LU goes to Saturday
If HPU wins tonight, LU plays at 11 AM tomorrow. a win there and they play at 7 PM
If LU wins tonight and loses at 3 PM, they play at 7 PM and then have to beat someone twice Saturday if they win then.

Radford explodes for 5 in the top of the 9th and upsets Coastal 11-7. LU would be in the driver's seat for a championship game berth with a win tonight

Coastal's loss today throws all that stuff you said out the window...we're now in the alternate bracket..

Tomorrow, CCU plays the first game of the day vs. The LU/HPU loser...loser of that game goes home. WU plays RU in the 3:00 game...loser goes home. The nightcap will be the winner of tonight's game vs. The winner of tomorrow's first game. No matter what, the HPU/LU winner from tonight will be around on Saturday...the only question will be if they have to win one game on Saturday (if they win tomorrow night) or two (if they lose tomorrow night) to win the championship.
