Top 6 right now, Flames putting it on the Pack 10-4 with 1 out and runners on. Put up 5 in the first, and are looking to add to a 4 spot in the top half of the 6th right now.

I mean, we are just absolutely hammering the baseball. Im getting a little bit excited if we can get Umberger back and healthy. Either way we are going to be thin on pitching in the tournament, but if we can put 15 on the board we might be ok haha

We are killing the ball. Something like .340 as a team after tonight's game, that's incredible. Unfortunately, if we haven't seen Umberger in any kind of role again yet after the injury I wouldn't count on seeing him this year. I've seen that ppl on here have said it's "soreness", from what i've heard that's a very optimistic outlook. I think it's an injury that can be pitched thru, but having not seen him again yet and the rotation starting to become consistent I just wouldn't count on seeing him. If we get him back, huge, huge bonus.

Id heard he wont be back this season (getting surgery of some sort I think). Maybe the resident scribe could get a more definitive answer

Umberger will not play anymore this year.He will have tommyjohn surgery soon and hopefully he will be healthy next year with a medical redshirt.

That sucks...I know he had known about the injury but was told he can play through it...I guess now its more serious then they thought

Disappointing, for sure. But get the surgery now, he can be on a throwing program (light) in late fall. I would think the timeline for a return would be mid-season. The good news is that LU has a former MLB Athletic Trainer working with the team.

So we've now outscored the ACC 28-17 in 3 games. we are 2-1 against the ACC and that one loss was to #1 UNC. hopefully by the end of the year we'll be 5-1 :)

Using Realist's "logic", that would make us undefeated and in first place in the ACC.

"dook is puke,

wake is fake,

but the team I hate,

is NC State"

At least, that's how is was growing up in NC. No one in my area was a dook fan until 1991.
