This is possibly one of the best opportunities for Liberty Baseball to make a strong statement in college baseball. I personally can't wait for
Also, looking at UNC's schedule, they play almost the entire Big South. It should be fairly easy to make comparisons with that constant variable.
Anybody else bought tickets yet?

I'm scared Dusty Ackley is gonna go 4-5 with two doubles, six RBIs, and a stolen base. He's that good.

It could happen, but I'm giving our guys the benefit of the doubt. Baseball is played on the field, not on paper. So I'm hoping that our fielding and hitting will be up to par and lastly that our pitching will be divine. If we can do that, we may pull an upset. But I agree with you SuperJon, it doesn't look good.

I'm not saying we can't win. I'm just saying Dusty is seeing the ball stupidly well for this early in the season.

I wish I could make it to the game, though...All I have to say is that I hate (yes, HATE) Carolina and hope we cream them!!!!!!!!!!!!

Down 2-0 after 2 innings. Andrew Wilson on the bump for the Flames.
UNC scored 2 in the first on 1 hit... a triple by Ackley (he would later score on an RBI groundout)
Wilson sat them down in the 2nd and we're now in the top of the third...

Ok, so he started off the first with a triple and two RBIs instead of a double.

Wow...
Heels up 6-0... top 4, Flames have 2 outs...
Errol walks, and then Tyler Bream brings him home, along with himself on a 2 run bomb.
Wimmer walks, and then Matt Williams his a double, followed by a Redal triple which scores 2.
The Heels then switch pitchers, and Tim Rotola hits a single to first and Redal scores, and suddenly the Flames are only down 6-5
Since then the Heels put a run on the board in the bottom of the 4th, it's now 7-5.

Yeah, I know. I saw it in the paper. I WAS NOT HAPPY (no offense, but I do not like Coastal either)

Flames take the L 9-5. Not a bad showing, better than the JMU game. Tough outing for Tuefel and Browning but other than that, it was a respectable game. Curran Redal with an excellent game at the plate (2-3, 2 RBI, 1 R)...
Curran and Tyler Bream both having good starts to the season at the plate. The rest of the guys ought to get back into things soon and we should see a very impressive offensive team.

CCU is your master
We're not 3-4...
We're 3-3.
W- USA x2, Mercer
L- JMU, UNC, Ole Miss
And if anyone around here said confidently that they thought LU was better than CCU, they'd be dumb. CCU is the class of the league in baseball and until we play down in Conway we won't really know which team is better, but have to give the benefit of the doubt to the Que...I mean 'Cleers.

Also, CCU just played it's only game out of the state of SC (The Trip to UNC) until the 10th of next Month. The Chants have a very home heavy front end of the schedule (some games are in Myrtle Beach, but still, that's home enough... They're gonna have home field advantage there over West Virginia and FIU)

for some reason when we play in myrtle beach at the pelican stadium(5 minutes away) there are very FEW CCU fans. I imagine tenn and WVU fans will outnumber us this weekend

Well we know the ankle bracelets are keeping your football team from leaving Conway, so that puts a bit of a dent in attendance...
