I was going to watch UFC on Saturday night at a buddys house. I was following the game thread and saw we were spanking them. So, on my away message, I put up "WOOHOO LU BASEBALL IS GOING TO THE BIG DANCE." I left thinking we'd be dancing..
I got back to see the disaster. It's my fault. I'll take the blame.

Hey how was the UFC? Did Gracie win? Do we need to put this on another thread?

No, Gracie got abused. Badly. Probably a premature stop from Big John but Hughes had his back, with both legs hooked and was pounding on Gracie's head.. Royce had no way of getting out and another 1:30 before the round was up.
Give Gracie a rematch and I think we'd see a different story.

No way you'd see a different story. Hughes was all over Gracie. It would be a different story if Gracie was maybe 10 years younger but not anymore today. Matt Hughes was in complete control of this fight... there was NOTHING that even hinted that another fight would be any different.
As far as big John stopping the fight... did you see Gracie's face? If Hughes was allowed to continue pounding him... it would have been a disgrace to the Gracie family.
