Hopefully Bean is just having a "sophomore slump" like Close did before having two really good years.
It's mechanics plus confidence. He delivery is not repeatable so everything is going to be different pitch to pitch. Hopefully he plays summer ball and a pitching coach gets that worked out.

In the tournament I would like to see them do what every it takes to get the runner on 3rd home when we have less than 2 out. Forgo the thoughts of a big inning and take what's there.
When we have played our best ball (i.e. the beginning of the 2014 season) this is what we did. We didn't wait around for someone to pull a 3-run homer. Everything Toman did at the beginning of 2014 was exactly the way we need to be playing. After the Clemson win, he reverted back to how things used to be and are now: swing hard, be aggressive, hope for the homer. That's who he is and how he coaches. It's feast or famine. When it works it's incredible. When it doesn't, we get this year.

The merchandise store was also closed, so I couldn't buy a nice new LU ball cap for the off season. :nono

The other side of the coin though is that our pitching is great for small ball for 7 innings. Toman perhaps realizes better than I that the finite amount of runs we get with small ball is not enough to compensate for the latter innings. Need more depth in the bull pin.

Down 2 to 0 in the second. We had 2nd & 3rd no outs in first. Can't even get a fly ball. Terrible.

He played the same way when we had stud relievers. He likes the SEC baseball 3-run homer approach. It's his style.

We were up 7 to 4 in 8th when AC gets an error on a double play ball. Tied at 7 now. Been down this road before

Perrett hits the HR to give us the 8-7 lead and then in the 9th he throws the runner trying to score the tying run from 2nd on a single out at the plate.

I think our best chance to win the tournament is for Ashton Perrett to put on his superman cape and carry the team like he did 2 years ago.

And the concession lines were not a mile long today. That was ridiculous last night. Liberty please do not have $1 hot dog night if you only have 1 concession line open.

Yes. Yes it was.

I think the problem is that most of the workers are students... and probably gone for the summer. I have also noticed that the employees aren't the best.

Too many folks think when school lets out for summer the world stops turning . school or no school there's still baseball to be played. LU staff should have treated HP series same as any other .

as for me looking up score on internet I use my telephone . for whatever the reason I could not pull up score. that's why i asked for update on here. Believe me I tried for several minutes .

I assume that concessions are staffed by Sodexo employees... most of whom are student workers... not "LU staff."

I am not a twitter fan, but LUGameday is a good way to get scores: https://twitter.com/LUGameday

When I was in line last Friday night, one customer said that they should have a concession stand open JUST for hot dogs when they are only a buck.

Also, at the Hillcats games, they have one line just for beer; LU could have one just devoted to beverages--soft drinks, bottled water, Gatorade, & hot chocolate.
