Its huge that we have had only two starters and four pitchers total used in the first two games. We have Roy, Herndon and Kemmerer available to start tomorrow and can save Niggli for Saturday now.

Both of them have to beat us twice tomorrow which helps as well since they probably have to use up their pitching just to get to Friday

According to our resident broadcaster itll be Brooks Roy getting the ball for us tomorrow morning, with Kemmerer getting the call only if we go to a 7 inning game tomorrow evening, and Niggli getting the call on Saturday for the championship.

We need to have a poll here. Who tries the hardest to sound like a journalist?

It sounded like Eckelbarger got back to the form he had in the first month and a half of the season. I like the way Kemmerer has been throwing lately. I think i'd start him but I'm sure it'll be Brooks. I'm sure Toman is just looking for 5-6 good innnings out of him tom. then ride the pen. Hopefully the bats stay hot and stake us to an early lead.

Coastal had to use Connolly for 5 2/3 last night i think so i wouldn't think he would be available. My guess is there looking to bring back Tyler Herb who got tagged by CSU against us if we both are to make it that far.

You really can't say how big what Eckelbarger did today was.

Roy is getting the ball tomorrow and Kemmerer probably wont go unless we go to a second game with G-W and then maybe comes in out of the pen on Saturday just because if we get to Saturday its all or nothing.

Correct as usual, Beej. You are correct that Roy will probably get the ball tomorrow, and Kemmerer probably won't appear unless we play GWebb twice, because once we get to Saturday, it all comes down to one game.

You probably had to be at the Campbell series at our place to fully understand this, but it was very sweet to see the nasty Campbell fans after our game and especially tonight after High Point sent them home.

Holiday Inn Express near the airport is where the team is staying and there is also a Fairfield and Hampton near there. Both approx. 10 mins away. If you want to go cheap and no frills there is a Biltmore Suites near there that is around $50 a night - nothing special but our experience has been good as the room is clean and the air works.

Roy only pitched an inning against the Diamond Dogs last time we faced them so we will see how he does in extended work

For the record BJ, I said that was my "guess". Have not heard officially what the word is. I can't imagine Niggli comes back for anything other than some work in the title game on Saturday though. He just threw 100 pitches on 5 days rest instead of a week. But I know he's amped up and expecting the chance to go on Saturday.

They are an obnoxious group of people - loud and rude and ride the umpires the whole game.

I certainly would be too..its his last chance to get to a regional, he's pitching probably about as well as Ive seen even though he's only been here two years, and he wants a chance to get one pretty sizeable monkey off this program's back in the process too
