While this weekend was embarassing i remember royer taking our squad out to arizona and we lost 64 to 3 in 3 game series if you want to cherry pick stats. After watching the last few weeks im still not 100 percent sure toman is the best guy for the job but im 200 percent sure royer wasnt the best guy

That was in between series with Coastal and Winthrop that he went 5-1 in. Maybe we realize that the BSC play is more important than some weekday game where the opponent is saving his best for their weekend conference series.

Look this is no longer an experiment after over a half of decade. Why are you so afraid to look at the process. We had LU lifers who were committed and had our programs operating at the top of the BSC conference. By JB's "new standards" not good enough...he is the new boss at the time and gets to call the shots....we PR our hires like the AD has pulled off a major coop only to find out that with all the resources our programs can't even match the level of success the former coaches had them attained and we positioned to move towards. Quite frankly we should all be tired of the excuses....the performance level are now fact....the spin no longer a fantasy dream world about where we are heading because we know.....we are willing to compromise our reputation to keep a players on the field. Time is ticking...the investment into athletics by the chancellor has been off the chart...the delivery by the AD has retarded the process and cost us stakeholders. BTW be glad to meet you face to face anytime.

Please don't misconstrue my comment as a threat; I was just talking with someone about politics and I firmly believe that there are people I can talk some sense into...

You mention that this "experiment" has cost us stakeholders, but I've followed sports at Liberty since the LBC days and only when Jeff arrived, did I make the choice to begin making fairly decent monetary contributions to the athletics program. I certainly will continue that commitment this month, so why don't we plan on meeting up at the club level sometime during football season? At least you can't argue that my seats now are worse than where I sat back before Jeff came along.

ToC and Trot are a bunch of cowards who hide behind a keyboard. If they hate JB and Toman so much, why not grow and pair and have a meeting with JB and tell him their thoughts and what they would recommend! i will give they keyboard jockeys credit for one thing. at bigger schools going 0-17 against your top rival would more than likely get you fired, but JB is sticking by him. maybe toman gets the can at the end of the year if we do not win the conference or go to a regional. If I was JB, would i fire him?? tough call, but the coastal issue is a problem. now, i feel like BEE-JAY, but lets look at some stats:

big south tournament seeding
toman- 2,3,2,2, to be determined
royer- 6,did not make tournament, 4,5,3

wasn't the massive choke job game against UNCA under royer???

vs. ranked teams
toman- 7-13
royer- 2-20

vs. coastal carolina
toman- 2-18
royer- 4-15

so i know the first excuse, toman has a bigger budget....who got him that budget? JB. could kim graham or thom park have done the same thing? maybe, but they didnt. maybe it was because they are not as good as JB. JB has the personality and the ability to fund raise which is what an AD is supposed to do. I am not disrespecting Kim or Thom, because Kim is a friend, and im glad he is doing well at Campbell. if you want to go older school, Chuck Burch did a fine job here and is doing well at Gardner-Webb, but is that program really growing? are their facilities really that good? not bad for the big south, but nothing like what we have and all of the hard work that JB and his staff have done. He has assembled a quality staff. Ask Mickey Guridy my former classmate about the department and see what he would tell you. he has been around for a long time. I make no secrets that i support JB and i consider him a friend. I also support Toman. Do i agree with everything he does? no, but i know our talent has been upgraded, and i think we are better than what we were under Royer. It is no disrespect of royer because he was a good coach. JB wanted a coach to take the team to the next level, and we are close but cant get over the Coastal hump. Does JB give Toman one more year?? tough call as i said before, but you two coming on here and trashing JB and Toman every chance you get is ridiculous. you never come around when we win and give credit where credit is due. do you? im sure i will hear a plethora of more excuses from you to and that's fine, but a true fan will give proper credit. you two do not, you simply come here bumping your gums every time we lose. Again, im a Toman guy, but im not sure barring a tournament championship or a regional bid that he is the guy. I would personally love to see Randy Tomlin back on staff as the pitching coach, but that is another story.
