I saw no activity in the 7-8 times I drove by the Fieldhouse
Thanks for covering for BJ, Fumble, while he is away at band camp. That kind of stalking would make BJ proud. :P

Its a dirty job...but someone has to do it. Time to go stalk around Hancock, now. Seriously.

From the Columbia fish wrap this morning...
Jones was recruited by USC assistant coach Jim Toman, who is scheduled to interview later this week at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va. Toman could not be reached for comment, but Liberty athletics director Jeff Barber confirmed his interest in Toman.

“Coach Toman is obviously a person I knew from my days there and somebody I think the world of and have great respect for,” said Barber, who stepped down last year as the head of the Gamecock Club.

Barber said his aim was to hire a coach by the end of the month.

The end of the week makes sense...especially with Royer's prospect camp going on through the end of today.

MR called every single camper and offered a full refund if they wanted for any reason to withdraw. He has 37 campers and 1 that withdrew. My guess is most of these kids are headed to LU anyway. But just a guess.

Glad to see Coach Royer following through on the commitment to the kids.

And you are correct that I'm guessing most LU campers would love to play for the Flames one day based on their presence at said camp.

Yet another very classy move by Coach. He has handled this entire situation very well. Yup...he will definitely land on his feet somewhere...hopefully soon.

I think it's classy too, but I hope all the good prospects stay put and don't follow him when he lands on his feet. It happens a lot when coaches move.

Kool-Aid alert! A kid's presence at camp can mean they want to come to LU. It can also mean that A.) they want to show off their skills to any and all college coaches at the camp, B.) they just want to improve their skills, or C.) baseball camp sounded like fun and mom and dad wanted 3 days to themselves.

One of the main reasons my son ended up at LC was one of Royer's CFAW showcase camps in November 05. The LC coaches were there and happened to see him play outfield and that stoked their interest. So Lib is right...the players can be exposed to other coaches and it can work out well for all parties.

Well, we know where Chris went to research his article--http://www.flamefans.com--where we even gave him Toman's salary at USC, which he used in the article. Chris, you're welcome, & 'glad we could be of assistance to you. Send your check to F. Ruski, North Campus, Liberty University.

Why does it matter where he got his information from? He said early on that this was not a priority in terms of coverage for the N&A. So some of the stuff that was on here was in the paper? Big friggin deal. We scoop every newspaper and official site every single time so it's a common occurrence.
