It seemed like UVA was just as guilty of going on auto-pilot after they felt like they had a national seed locked up. And after the Maryland loss it looked like they weren't really trying against UNC. It looked a lot like what LU was doing, not being able to get guys out with 2 strike counts, runners left in scoring position, giving up two out runs. Hopefully they play like they did against Maryland and UNC against Bucknell so we don't have to worry about them catching fire again.

In a couple seasons past I have been up there, and it was "sold out", and I had to get ticket "off the street". But I think they added a few more seats since then.

They need to add more seating based on their attendance.

The NCAA runs the regionals and wants to draw as much revenue as necessary. So if there is a hill where they can sell some GA seating they will.

Should be general admission/standing room available
For single games especially non uva games. If we are able to win friday and uva beats bucknell then we might be looking at a lack of space. They have added a couple outfield bleachers recently. Ugly. If we play like our mid season group we can win. If we play like the last 2 weeks we will be lucky to beat bucknell

College baseball fans are in for a treat if the Hogs and Cavaliers make it to the second round together because these are two of the best pitching staffs in the nation. Arkansas has already announced they are saving their ace, Trey Killian, for game two. But, as they learned last year against Bryant, they can't dig themselves in a hole by losing the first game.

All the focus is on the quality of Virgina's & Arkansas' pitching staff. No respect for Liberty's arms.

Clemson passed on starting their ace, Daniel Gosssett, against Liberty in last year's regional so they could pitch him against South Carolina the next day. We know how well that decision turned out.

Now Arkansas is looking past Liberty to Virginia...Go LU!

A healthy Carson Herndon would have put us on par with UVA and Arkansas starting pitching. With him gone and Fulghum, getting hit and Lyon's shoulder problems we are short on quality starters. I'd like to see Marsh/Clowers get a start.

I am headed up for the UVA game at 2 but not planning on staying for the Liberty game tonight. If anyone still needs a ticket for tonight and wants one (GA) and will be in C'ville around 5 let me know. It will be cheaper than buying at the gate!

I just tried one of the games going on now and it says ESPNU is not in my subscription and I need to upgrade.

Good number of upsets on day 1 already. Kenesaw St over Bama and Long Beach St over UNC have already gone final and CS Fullerton up 5-1 over Nebraska in the 8th. If this keeps up we may actually have to go along with ESPN's ridiculous "June Madness" name.

ODU just threw up on themselves against Maryland after being up 3-0 headed to the 8th inning. their closer hit back to back batters in the 9th and they lost 4-3

I wouldn't look too much into the pitching decision for Arkansas. Oliver was projected pre season to be a low 1st round/high 2nd round pick in two weeks. As for the question regarding speed, the articles say 94-96 with a slider at 84-86. The Arkansas coaches are not doing us any favors - he said they have two number 1 guys.

I don't think I've ever seen a game end like that. Poor ODU they destroy UVA but lose to LU and Maryland in really weird ways.

Kentucky and Kansas is going to be a gun show from the look of the score right now 6-6 in the 5th. Southeastern Louisiana up 4-3 over LSU in the 7th and Pepperdine up 3-1 over Arizona St in the 3rd.
