On another note, skywalker and I had a conversation with Jeff Barber before the second game of the Winthrop double header and he said that before we graduate (we being sophomores), we should see a new stadium. He said to send emails to Jerry asking about it!
I agree...I spent many an evening there (especially turn back the clock night...probably one of the highest attended games every year) and its great to see the boats going by off the rightfield fence. Its fun to see if someone can smash a ball all the way to the river too (although it doesnt have the same intrigue as McCovey Cove out in San Fran)

Did they use the new scoreboard for the game against JMU? I know it said the video part would not be ready; just the actual scoreboard.

Now that we are getting some more sustained good weather they finally can make some serious progress on the new scoreboard...LURadioPxP posted this picture:

i got the skinny on what the plans are, but as always subject to change at a moments notice. the idea is to move the diamond to the right, so that would involve digging into the hillside. the current fieldhouse would then actually be behind the new stadium. If you see where the scoreboard is now that would virtually be extreme left field. the right field fence would be almost if not to williams stadium rd. As HMO said it would have a jeffersonian look with a picnic area and 3,000 chairback seats. the current cost would be areound 9 million. with constuction costs low now, if the money could be found, now is the time to build.

So our field house would look like the warehouse at Baltimore's Camden Yards? I like it! Our new scoreboard already looks like the one at OPCY. Keep up the good work!

Diggin the new scoreboard, but i believe their going to put brick around it thought right? anyways i think there is so much we could do with our stadium within the next 10 years...id love to see seating go all the way around the bank and knock out those old buildings at the top and put in some nicer facilities, and possibly have a roof over top of some of the seats, there's definitely plenty to work with, we got it on a nice location
