Don't know if anyone has been to practice or not, but through the last couple weeks Bream has been absolutely locked in at the plate. He's continuing that today.

That's a great effort for a very "new" team to build on to start the season. I'm all about winning, but that's probably a better result than last year's team beating ND in the opener. I gotta say I'm not a huge fan of using your No. 2 starter out of the pen, but obviously Storm wanted the statement win and he went with who he thought his next best guy was so i'll stomach it. Pretty cleanly played game too. Infield looked pretty good from the boxscore anyway. I'd love to know what actually went down with the double steal. I don't know if we got caught sleeping or what. Shouldn't happen with an experienced pitcher and a 4 yr starter behind the plate, but hey first game. Took the #6 team in the country to the brink and had a couple chances late. If the pitching holds up and we hit, based on this result we should be able to find 3 wins this weekend, which would be nice heading into the gauntlet of next week. At JMU on tuesday and at UNC on wednesday.

Looks like a great effort by the Flames. Hated to miss the thread but am out of town on business. The Reb's closer is supposed to be absolutely filthy.
