And he gets a hit. I'm happy for PK. Had to be frustrating for him to be hurt for this tourny.

Kudos to toman for making his first season a success with hope of good things to come and we cant avoid the fact that we have to give some kudos to royer since most of these players were brought in by him.

It was fun to watch the boys this year and cant wait to do it all again next year.

Yes, congrats to the whole team. An outstanding run this year, dissapointing in the end, but it was fun. I can't wait til next year, and Toman is our guy!

Tough Loss tonight. It seems we have been down this road before though...... Anyway after the Radford game I don't think many thought we would be playing in the 2nd game today. They showed in game one that they were not afraid of anyone includning a top ten team. A lot to be proud from the last few days and this season. I think that Toman has shown that he is not just a Asst. Coach that can recruit.

Let me add my congratulations as well. I have a feeling that we are looking at a real definite change in the landscape even with these disappointments. Football has come around in a MAJOR way. I really feel like baseball and basketball are on the cusp of following suit here in the next couple years. Congratulations to Coach Toman on an excellent season and thank you to the seniors for your awesome service to this program!

Isn't it interesting that what appears on the surface to be an end to the season remarkably similar to the last 2 years is leaving us with a much more positive and hopeful feeling? What is different?

congrats on the good year guys...things are definitely looking up and you gotta believe with another year of recruits and getting guys into the system it should be a real battle between you guys & coastal next year (not that it wasn't this year, in the tourny....but... I do think the clearly better team won -- no offense).

Definitely some good things going on up there....

No offense taken. But over the course of the past month or so I wouldn't put the Chants far ahead of us.

Yeah, lets just hope that next year we can beat coastal and win the big south.

I suspect it will be held at McCormick Field near downtown Asheville, since UNCA uses it for many of their home games. A very nice park with a short porch (and high fence) in RF. It is certainly not the dump it was when part of Bull Durham was filmed there.

not Mytrtle Beach but better than Danville. Why couldn't LU have it at City stadium? I don't think having it in Danville was a big advantage as far as fan support goes.

Though why something couldn't have been worked out between LU/Big South and the stadium/Hillcats/Carolina League, I don't know. The Hillkitties only had a 3-game homestand that ended on Thursday. Normally the midweek 3-game homestand is at the end of July and beginning of August.
