Judging by the renderings in the video at this link: http://www.liberty.edu/news/index.cfm?P ... &MID=78332, it looks like they'll be staying put and just covered in beige plaster like the exterior of the Williams Stadium tower.
yeah I think it's the facade/roof... don't believe they are removing that. deck below is the press/lounge/club area.

that probably hides HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.

Bright green stuff is insulation...a roof/facade will cover it when the suites are completed. I still cannot believe that there are people on this board that think East Carolina has a better stadium. This thing is going to be NICE.

Still stuck on that? This stadium is nice. ECU has a great stadium as well. Let it go.

Thanks, Medic.

I helped a friend move some furniture today, so he treated me to one of those Hardee's $5 bag lunches, which I ate OUTSIDE the stadium, but a few minutes later, I saw Big J. with the same $5 Hardee's bag lunch under his arm, which he did SMUGGLE into the stadium.

Concessions were open, and I had a double hot chocolate during the 7th inning stretch.

One of the highlights of the game was seeing our Chancellor throw out the first pitch!

Went to the first game yesterday. Great crowd and a great game. The ball slows down considerably on grounders and the other thing I noticed was the wind direction. Seems like its going to take a very hard hit and high flying ball to get out of there.

I drove past the new baseball stadium today, and it looks like they are replacing the red roof with a darker brown color to look more like the roof on the football tower.
Why start with a red roof and then change it? :dontgetit

Back in the day when I worked maintenance at Pitt, I had to paint metal heater units in the dorm rooms. First I had to paint them with metal primer...guess what color the metal primer was? It was red.

(Then I painted them almond, in case anyone wanted to know).

So maybe that was primer on the roof.

The red was an underlayment not paint.

My first foray to the friendly confines. Very nice and good leg room. Got tired of the people in the same row getting up about every half inning for whatever reason. It's called Adderall, ask for it by name.
The complaints about the concession area are a little unfounded. I'm sure at the UVA game it was extra crowded, but given the working conditions I'm positive they did the best they could. Not having any electricity for everything doesn't help, but its only temporary. The only solution would be to have barkers up and down the aisles. Of course, as many times as the people around us kept getting up and down there is a talent pool available.....
Not sold on the carpeted base path but understand why they did it. Could use a Stanley Steamer in a couple of places
And SJ will be happy that I did get to see a bunt :D

They don't have all the electrical stuff hooked up so no nachos. Or as I was informed 'we don't have the ability to warm cheese yet'. I assumed they meant Campus wide!
