Texted a little with Trey Wimmer. Asked him what it was like; his response was "immaculate".

Wimmer on the infield: "The ground balls are awesome, but they're really slow." Also said the ball didn't carry today but wind was a factor.

was wondering about that.

have read that you REALLY have to compact/roll these turf surfaces to get them to play like clay/grass.

don't know how true that is. I'd guess it's gonna take a while to get it to wear in (?) like you want it

Judging by the renderings in the video at this link: http://www.liberty.edu/news/index.cfm?P ... &MID=78332, it looks like they'll be staying put and just covered in beige plaster like the exterior of the Williams Stadium tower.
