Hmm, so you've decided to blame the players today rather than the coaches.

All Im gonna say on the subject.

No matter who he blames hes gonna get crucified for it, might as well change it up right? Someone was wrong and He said coaches and everyone jumps his case, so he says players... and...well... here we go again.

Since that tournament, we have scored 63 runs while giving up 76. Additionally. before the break, we did not allow double digits in runs one time before the break. Since coming back from MS, that has happened three times. Additionally, in the games before the break, LU never had more than 2 errors in a game (had 2 a number of times) Since the break...we have had three or more errors 4 times

Now Im not saying this team is bad, but I think there is more to what has happened than most people know because this is almost a completely different group of guys taking the field now than when the year started.

Whew! Nice comeback. Let's win the series tomorrow. I guess uncafan was right about getting into their bullpen.

yeah I will take credit for that one -- haha -- tomorrow should be interesting. Asheville could go with either Buchanan or Schumer. Both are hard throwing righties that stuggle with control at times and are mostly used out of the pen. Neither has been any good as a starter and I think today's game indicates the status of the Asheville pen.

Here's a link to the extra-inning "Slugfest" win on LibertyFlames.com:

Page, the fourth Liberty pitcher of the afternoon, picks up his first win of 2008, to move to 1-3 on the year. The left-hander pitched two scoreless frames, allowing two hits and striking out two. Justin Schumer, the third UNC Asheville hurler in the contest, takes the loss to fall to 0-4. Schumer allowed three runs on four hits in 2 2/3 innings.

Hollinger paced the Flames by going 4-for-5 with a RBI and scoring three runs. Young added three hits, including a double and a grand slam. Keiser had four hits, four RBIs and two runs scored for the Bulldogs.

Liberty and UNC Asheville will meet in the rubber match of the three-game Big South Conference Series tomorrow afternoon at Greenwood Field. Game time is scheduled for 1 p.m.

Thats more like it! That is one heck of a comeback! I am glad to see that they still have a lot of fight after a tough stretch! Hopefully, we see the momentum pick up for the Flames.
