Very good win today. Not gonna get overly excited because this is what this team should be doing to Binghampton. We need to get the next three.

Hard for an Oriole fan to like pinstripes, but they looked pretty good. But whatever Toman was wearing looked like a big red poncho. Were they calling for rain?

Radar looks good to at least get the 1st game in. I think in college there's a higher tolerance for rain than there is in MLB. But if I'm wrong by all means correct me.

Anybody know what just happened there? Toman got thrown out. Sounds like a bad call.
Binghamton leads 8-4 (3 on the questionable call).

What happened was that after Beakler loaded the bases (with an intentional walk), the Binghamton batter grounds one past third and the home plate umpire called it fair immediately and it was actually a foul ball, three runs score and Toman goes berserko and gets tossed. If you listened to the game you hear him absolutely tear into the home plate umpire at that point. That changed the complexion of the game because LU had the momentum after the three run inning

I was listening the to the radio broadcast, I heard Toman as you did, I was just wondering if someone who went to the game thought it was a borderline call or something that was as blantantly obvious as people thought it was.

good split today, and hopefully the rain will not effect tomorrow's game. im happy to the sticks waking up, and niggli though he did not have his best stuff today but i like his arm. Rasmus had a monster blast in game one. our pitching has to improve, but hopefully it will come around fast.

I was at the game and the call was very borderline. Changed the whole style of the game too.

Also this may be a stupid question but im just now getting into college baseball but why were both games 7 innings

It did...that ball is called foul, and Beakler gets a DP ball, we maybe get out of that inning with 1 or zero runs allowed.

I was hoping to go to both games but the radar didn't look good and I didn't want to drive all the way from Roanoke just to have the games rained out. And tomorrow doesn't look good, you may be able to play it tomorrow evening (if Binghamton stays, they are supposed to have a snow storm tomorrow so they may stay longer).

Actually, doubleheaders consist of 9 inning games as well. Big Smooth is correct; they agreed to play 7 inning games today because of the threat of rain. They agreed to it yesterday and even announced it in today's newspaper. The 7 inning games turned out to be a good idea; it started to get cold and rainy on the way home. Hopefully, the game will be "on" for tomorrow.

Love the pinstripes. Would've preferred Liberty across the chest over the LU but overall they look very nice.
