We win 13-8. Browning had a bad outing in relief of Evans, but Giammini closed it out. Redal went 4-5 and Tyler drove in 3.

Safe to say VMI's days of being nationally ranked are over for now.

if VMI had just one good pitcher int he bullpen they would have won at least 1 or 2 of these games. Their bullpen is dreadful

Their bullpen wasn't as bad as the umpiring today. Holy crap that was just terrible. I've never seen a crew lose control of a game that bad.

I do.

When Linza came out, one of the players from VMI jogged to the dougout. As he entered, he yelled "BEER ME!!!!!" What a tool! He's like WIll Ferrell on the SNL skit breaking out the cans at 10AM at a little league game. Shut up and play the game.
I agree, play all 27 outs, then talk........Liberty showed VMI this weekend how to play nine innings.

It was dreadful this weekend .......Devine was very good until Saturday. Garrett too.....ain't nuttin' guaranteed, we found out the hard way.

Speaking of dreadful, I thought your LiveStats were "fixed" from earlier, y'all have stated that yourselves here a hundred times. They only refresh about every 5-6 minutes. Your players, alums, teams, etc., deserve better.
VMI better show up vs.VCU Tuesday, or that'll be.........ugghhh.

no doubt the officiating was a joke, but a good sweep for the guys. I was sitting near a bunch of VMI people and they were awful, cussing at toman and the umps, but overall it was a good weekend of baseball. the boys have positioned themselves well.

All of the internet was out at the field earlier today. We were able to get it up and running for the stream, but live stats may have still been having to go wirelessly and the wireless signal out there is shaky at best.

And since our players, alums, teams, etc. deserve better than that, we had the game on the radio and streaming online, and a video stream available on the Big South Network so there were three other options than live stats to keep up with the game.

I was listening via radio on-line (IE: the third batter reached base, while live stats said game hadn't started), and considering the weekend, I'm glad I didn't give $$$ to the KK fund for video. I'm just a live stats nut. :) . I'm confident Mr. Barber will get a couple more phone lines run to the baseball press box.

MARLIN IKENBERRY, VMI.

I caught up with Coach Ikenberry after the game and after he had addressed his team in right field…

Me: “Hey coach, is it alright to ask you a few questions about your program?”

Coach Ikenberry: “No it’s not.”

Me: “Okay, thanks.”

The talk around the field Sunday was that Marlin didn't know who the guy was and didn't realize he was with CBT.

VMI lost again tonight. They'll probably lose at W&M too. Then they'll probably lose all three this weekend.

That'll be eight straight losses.

Then they play at home vs VT which is likely a loss.

Then they play at VCU who they just lost to tonight.

They could theoretically lose ten straight games right after beating UVA.

Wm. and Mary game rained out, which I am not complaining about too hard......kids need this time to look in the mirror and ask: "where is the team that beat Virginia, and Citadel twice (in Charleston)?"
