CCU is to BSC baseball what LU girl's basketball team has been for us - dominant! Their pitching ERA was almost 2 runs better than any other BSC team. Pitching and defense - ya that's the ticket - to NCAAs.

The thing with Coastal in baseball as compared to LU women's basketball is they have had very little noticeable dropoff from year to year. With the Lady Flames, you can tell that they have come back to the pack (as well as teams stepping their game up like a Gardner-Webb). With CCU, you really cant find anything that could be seen as a weakness...

Except all the NCAA violations surrounding their university... so it's just a matter of time before baseball jumps on the violations bandwagon for them.

bigsmooth wrote:you are such a tough guy natural. does it make you feel good ripping me? im sure it makes you feel good we lost! you are a great fan for sure  . all you do have ever done is rip the coaching staff and suck up to your buddy royer. im sure you will disapprove if your other pal delmonico is not hired as well. i have never said toman was perfect and after this year, my faith in toman has waned for sure.
I hate losing more than I love winning. I know you care about the program...and are sincere as anybody. I just feel your not objective with current history or the past. It is safe to say that I have a dim view of Toman and how he has handled recruits, pitchers, on and off field conduct as well as the reputation of the school. Attitude reflects leadership. Delmonico would be an amazing guy to...as you superjon and others have said " take the program to the next level ". Like Royer, he has been to the college world series twice as a head coach. Brian Shoop is another guy who is in a class all by himself in terms of Godly character and baseball coaching skills. But the assertion that all I do is rip the program fails the over 25 years I have been supporting the school, baseball program and mission statement of what Liberty is all about. On that I feel I pass with flying colors. Judging me on how I feel about the the baseball program these last four years is like flying at 1500 feet. All you see is the baseball program. The highest and best view should be at 30,000 feet for a lack of better way of putting it. Over many years I think you,me and others in leadership can see things in the context of the entire landscape. That is where we differ. Its not personal !

Everybody wants to be somebody...practice being nobody and somebody will emerge ! :)

If the assertion is that all you do is rip our program is false, then how come you never say anything when we win?

Nah, it doesn't. It doesn't disprove my point. Just because you deny the premise, doesn't make it not true.
