From a Xenia, Ohio (the Frazee sisters' hometown) fishwrap, here is an update on Shawn playing for the Athletes in Action team in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League:
Players are making the difficult transition to wood bats. First baseman Shawn Teufel doesn't have to worry about going batty over the transition. He's been swinging wood most of his life, thanks to his baseball pedigree.Click Here for Full Story
He is the son of Tim Teufel, who played second base for the 1986 world champion New York Mets. The elder Teufel now coaches the Mets' Class A team in Savannah, Ga., and supplies his son with pro stock black Louisville Sluggers (33-inch, 30-ounce).
