now SCAR doesn't have to worry about fighting that rush-hour traffic.

I don't know much about Baseball but if we can run with these teams and beat a couple of them we should be able to handle a tough Winthrop Team in the Big South Tourney. Give us your opinion Smothie and some updates when you go to Lynchburg.

we'll have our answer in a week! UVa and WU oughta tell us where we are.

Not to be cavalier, but I would not put too much stock in a loss, since I doubt we will use any of our main pitching with the conference weekend coming up. Of course, a win is a totally different animal.

UVA will not be throwing their best either, so it should be a good game if the weather permits.

That's right. They have a huge series vs Wake Forest coming up. It would be a good 2 inning tune-up for our Friday starter, though.

that WFU matchup is huge. the hoos got swept last year from the deacs and have now just entered the top 25 this week ranging form #21-24 according to which poll you look at. WFU is having their best year in a long time and are ranked#24 in rosenblatt's report. BTW winthrop is ranked #29 in one poll. i would not mind seeing one of our starters throw an inning or two.

That is definite... I just found out seeing that we were suppose to do the game on the radio tomorrow, which stinks because Davenport is a gorgeous stadium

thats a shame- would've been a nice gauge of our progress this year.

Don't worry PA...I think this weekend's series will be a nice gauge too...

Once again, I hate having to face the Eagles this early in league play (much like hoops on the road). WU is head & shoulders above the rest of the league at this point. But if we were to win this weekend's series I might be willing to adjust my standings.

I'd rather face them now, while the team has a good dose of confidence coming out of the rigors of our non-conference schedule. Everyone is healthy and should be ready to prove to the league that the record is not a fluke.

At least students are back from Spring Break. Perhaps the success thus far will encourage more of them to show up this weekend.

Yeah--if they're willing to make a 3+ hour road trip to Rock Hill.

im a little miffed that the game was cancelled. it does not look like it is going to be made up, plus the hoos, scheduled a game with marshall on wednesday. what makes them think the weather and field will be much better? i wonder if UVA asked us if we wanted to play wednesday or if there were any open dates? im thinking we said no b/c of our series with winthrop this wkend.

Winthrop's game tonight vs. Charlotte has also been postponed/cancelled due to weather. Both the Eagles and Flames should be well rested for their series this weekend.
