A tough loss yesterday. I guess GW was due for a win and we were due for a loss I guess. I question the move to change pitchers (John for Light). It seemed that Tyler pitched a great game but Coach Royer took him out and put John in there and the GW hitter greeted him with a 3 run homer to tie the thing up when it looked like we were in control of the situation. Heartbreaking but I guess those things happen. Maybe the coach were worried about overworking Tyler so he did what he had to do. A sweep would have been nice but every ounce in a while you loose to less talented teams and that is what happened yesterday. On to Virginia Tech and JMU.
Nanry reached an error to lead off the Liberty half of the stanza, but George Washington reliever Derek Haese erased the runner by inducing a double play, effectively killing the Liberty rally.
Why didnt we bunt him over?...I'd have Babe Ruth bunting in that scenario
