Perrit looks awful. Topping out at 90 and cant locate. Breaking pitches dont have the normal bit either. Hes laboring and getting tattoed. Line shots to all fields.

Caleb evans featuring a 90 mph and a wicked slider. He reminds me on bankemper. Uncs lefty is a frosh and has dialed it up as high as 94. Lots of wild pitches and errors so far. We really need to get perritt going though. He looks like a shell of himself right now though the flu and cold weather can do that to you.

Because Toman.

I don't mind trying the Perritt experiment. However based on the results so far, you have to start thinking about using him in CF and relief SOON.

The only way I see Perritt making any roster, much less a major league one, as a pitcher is in relief and probably as a closer. If coach Toman figured using him as a starter would show another side of him to scouts, what he is showing is gonna cost him a lot of money come this summer.

Flames lose 6 to 4. They did have the potential game tying run at the plate in the 9th. We waited too long to get the bats going. I think they were playing on letting AP rest but Toman sounded like he really wanted. I agree with FS that he needs to be in CF. let him get his strength back and maybe his bat will help the offense get started. We don't want to lose too many games early on, they could come back to haunt you if you are looking for a at large bid or looking to host.

We simply are not hitting. I believe we had 3 hits against UNC. I am hoping that as weather warms up, so do the bats.
We are scoring more runs off opponent's errors and mistakes, than we are with the bats.

Watched to game on line and I must be getting old but do we have worst looking unies in the world or is it me? Love the old Carolina Blue unies with the traditional away grey pants. It looked like the Tar heels were in town.

I really do like what Toman's doing with recruiting, I just wish he would bring someone in to manage games for him. He seems to really struggle with this part. Pitching and Game Management.

Move Perritt back to closer and CF.

Ding ding ding ding.

Toman is one of the best recruiters in the country. The dude is phenomenal at it. The fact we've made two regionals in a row and are a top 30-35 program with barely any player development or plan shows that we are bringing in LOADS of talent. We just don't know what to do with it once it gets here.

When (or maybe if) Toman brings in a guy to handle the day-to-day on the field portion of the program, we will be a consistent threat to win regionals. Until then, we may get lucky every few years, but our ceiling will be consistently competing to go to a regional and nothing more.

Toman does nothing but close the deal, Murray and Quinn do all the recruiting and getting the talent. He is a joke for a coach. Poor Peritt just can't do anything right; it happens some times.
I know it was a little cold; but where were all the fans? North Carolina (one of the top programs in the country) is in town for the first time and that's all that shows up....sad!!

Exactly. I was surprised that there were that many folks at the game. I was there bundled up. We had 1200+ fans - that was our avg attendance last year. In better weather and more notice the place would have been packed to overflowing for sure.

Did you lose out on a job or promotion (or hot girl) to Toman or something? I mean Jon has his issues with the guy, but at least he gives the man credit where its due...you sir Trott...you just hate the guy all the time (or 90 percent of it at least)

My 9 year old son and I were there. Fun game, except for the losing part.
