I have nothing against him. I just dont think a 235 hitter with medium speed and no power should be a guaranteed starter. Weve hashed this before so i wont waste too much time. Does anyone know what was wrong with taormina or if hes coming back? Looked like arm surgery.
The season didn't start with them at 3rd. Britt was over there and keranen at ss. If britt couldn't play 3rd maybe they should have tried keranen, or possibly put seiz at 3rd and keranen or britt at
second. It seems as though for some reason to many get to many chances to prove themselves. Its
hard to change when you are winning I guess but it might hurt you in the long run if your pitchers have an off day. Close games you are going to need your defense.

Don't look now but we have the best defense in the BSC and that after a horrendous start to the season . Keranen struggled defensively and offensively at short, Kimble/Salisbury at second and Britt playing out of position at 3rd. Seiz was DHing at that time.

I don't know how you can say keranen struggled defensively . Everyone started off slow but since opening at home he had 1 error which britt would have never gotten to. He had 4th highest average when he was pulled and sat for several games. Kimball hasn't had the at bats others have had and neither has keranen so you don't know what they would have done. Ask some of pitchers who they would like backing them up. You might be surprised. It doesn't come as a shock about best in BSC have you seen the teams we play.

Yes sir, I am a season ticket holder and travel to a lot of away games. Keranen's fielding percentage is the lowest or next to lowest on the team. I don't question Toman's decision to go with who he has out on the field. The results speak for themself.

Taormina had surgery but is now 100%, working hard in the weight room and still very much at Liberty.

You do know you cant look at the fielding % on the stats when they have not played the same amount of games. If you look at the % of the same games they played in I think you will find they
were pretty close to the same. Keranens may have been slighty higher because he had more plays.
If you watch all the games like you say you do then you should know they are both good players. I believe Keranen has more range and a quicker release. With that said all im saying I hope our defense on that side does not let us down because it has been somewhat shakey lately.

Kimble hasnt hit one bit in 2 years so i dont buy that. I thought keranen did get a quick pull but britt didnt look good on 3rd.

My sons were pitchers so I look at the defense more I suppose. Don't know much about Kimble. I follow the team because a
friend of mine son goes here. I get some feed back from them. It did seem like Keranen was a quick pull for what he had done
in earlier games. Sure doesn't work that way across the board. I think it had something to do with Britt not playing a good 3rd.
If our pitching holds up we should do well in BSC tourney.
