Defense and starting pitching, sprinkled with small ball (bunting), has been their key to success over the years. Their D stinks and their starting pitching, when Smith is removed from the rotation, is average at best.

They have been decimated by injuries. Lang retweeted an article a couple weeks ago about it. Probably 6 or 7 key plays have missed major time and a couple are out for the season. One of our biggest strengths this year is that weve stayed relatively healthy. Stafford and herndon are really the only guys to miss time. I think a couple of coastals guys maybe even smith were season ending injuries. I do think there talent level has faded a bit the last 2-3 years though.
