You're not helping jbock. trottalot never said Toman should have pulled Bean. He said he should have put more subs out on the field (which is almost as stupid when a guy is pitching a no-no.)

For the record (since i didnt address this before), I have no qualm calling out a negative troll like trott...its one thing to criticize somebody on here (which SJ has done at great length when it comes to Toman over the years). Its a whole different thing when all you do is focus on the negative and beat it like a bass drum every time you post. SJ gives credit where its due and supports the team when they are doing well just as much as he criticizes when the team is doing poorly, and doesnt do it in some backhanded, lilly livered way like trott does. That's why I have respect for him (SJ) and not so much for checkmate's baseball counterpart.

Let's not forget that Liberty was in the same exact position as VMI in the second game down at UNC Wilmington, down 11-0 with a perfect game broken up with one out in the ninth and UNCW didn't sub a player. I heard not one negative thing about no subs from any Liberty fans, they all expected it. They even gave the UNCW pitcher a standing Ovation when the no no got broken up as a sign of respect. That's sportsmanship.

Agree with Flamepop...we got ours earlier in the year and not a peep of ill sentiment...Now we were upset at getting hammered on here but not a thing was said about how the game was handled by UNCW.
