If it had been anybody other than Sid I would have hated them for life. Now though, I can see it as one of the greatest moments in playoff history, even if it was the catalyst for 20 losing seasons in a row for my team. I wish I could have watched it objectively back then and appreciated it for what it was. But that's sport.

That is one of the only World Series moments that I always remember. By the time of the World Series, my team (Mariners) is always out and I am fully immersed in SEC football anyways.

It happened in the NLCS, not the World Series.

My bad. Got them TO the World Series. See how much of a baseball fan I am? (I really do like going to games :) )

OFF TOPIC: I personally found it much easier to be a baseball fan on the west coast. When the M's were playing on the east coast, I would come home from work and watch the last several innings while eating dinner. Home games (or other west coast games) I would watch about 1/3 of the time. As it stands now, ALL games are "late" for me, especially west coast ones… forget about it. :football
