When a Duke University assistant football coach stopped by Woodbridge High School Monday, the visit was more than just checking in with Blue Devil commit Evrett Edwards. Edwards’ teammate Logan Farrar also drew the coach’s attention.http://www2.insidenova.com/sports/2012/ ... r-1867681/
Although baseball has generated the scholarship offers for him, Farrar still remains committed to trying to play both baseball and football in college. The junior outfielder has offers from Liberty, Virginia Commonwealth University and East Carolina University for baseball.
Farrar has received no college football offers, but has talked with football coaches from Duke, ECU, Boston College, Virginia and Temple. He made an unofficial visit to ECU over spring break earlier this month and attended Virginia’s Junior Day.
Farrar won’t make his college decision until either June or July.
This spring, he is hitting .386 with 17 RBI and a team-high 20 runs for the Vikings.
The Washington Nationals came down to a Woodbridge baseball game a few weeks ago to scout both Farrar and senior Tyler Thomas. The Nationals are expected to check out the two a couple more times before the season is over.
