Huge for Forslund too after he comes in cold against his former team when Dudley went out. Man it is SOO good to have Wimmer back. HUGE WIN!

Uva is a little down this year, still a legit top 35 team and a road win there is big.+1 - especially the defense - when you are making only one error every two games, you are going to put yourself in position to win alot of games. Rain permitting, it would be great to get a win vs JMU as Coppin St is not good and a sweep there would put us at 13-1 on Sunday.
I think 2 things that are helping this team win is they put the ball in play instead of striking out which has forced a lot of errors and they play solid defense. I think this is key, we have had good offenses the last few years but we struck out in big spots too much. This year were putting the ball in play and forcing the action.
So we have Kemmerer lined up to face JMU tom. if it doesn't rain it out.
Hope Dudley's back isn't serious because he has thrown very well this year.

This is not your typical Liberty squad. Those guys looked good. They played above-average defense all night, with their SS and 2b making great plays all over the place. Their starter wasn't overpowering, but certainly looked like he could pitch. When he left with some apparent injury, the kid they brought in who transferred from UVA (so I'm told) was popping 91-94. They looked like they had a solid approach at the plate, and seem to have a bunch of line drive hitters who work the middle of the field. If they were wearing the uniforms of a top tier program, they would have been able to fool a lot of people tonight, myself included. They are in line for a very good year. I didn't leave the game thinking "wow how did we lose to that team?" I left thinking "we just got beat up by a very good team."
Can't take any game for granted. But I will say for those who
didn't see the game today, that wasn't the Liberty that we've all grown accustomed to beating up on over the years. I honestly left feeling more impressed by them than let down by us. I think our guys were absolutely stunned by what they saw
happening out there.
