Interesting Note: Dallas Baptist had a preseason ranking of #40. They play in the Heartland Conference (Division II) for most sports, but compete as a Division 1 independent in baseball. Their independent schedule is pretty stout as they play Texas, Texas A&M, TCU, Rice, Baylor, Wichita State, Fresno State, Oklahoma, Washington, Washington State, Penn State, etc...
