...Jason Murray!!

Murray, 34, is no stranger in Big South baseball circles, having served two assistant coaching stints at Winthrop and leading the Charleston Southern program as its head coach for four years.
“Jason Murray is first and foremost a great man and a great friend,” commented Winthrop Head Coach Joe Hudak. “He is an outstanding coach who truly cares for his players.

Looks like an ideal resume for our situation. He knows the Big South and also has experience at big schools like Florida and Michigan.

This looks like a solid addition to the program. I like what I see from Coach Toman.

figured there might be a thread on this. I know he struggled to compete at Charleston Southern but he really had his hands tied there -- never even had a full compliment of paid assistant coaches. I think his baseball resume speaks for itself -- and Jason is an absolutely GREAT guy. Very personable, friendly, knowledgable about the game.... Great guy.

Nick was also a good friend of mine and I know he's gotta be thrilled about heading to ECU...While personally I would say Nick might have a bit more experience and a slightly better resume -- no better guy to replace him than Jason.... Good luck to him & its nice to see a baseball program making a good effort to improve itself... (:::coughUNCAcough:::)
