The Flames play their first road conference series this weekend down in NC. High Point is 5-10 on the year and in their first BSC series were swept by Winthrop.

Flames survive a WILD HPU 7 run 6th inning to defeat the Panthers 9-8. Justin Richardson doubled home Trey Wimmer with the winning run in the top of the 9th. Andrew Wilson goes 3 1/3 innings to close the game and get the win.

It was just the way he did it, the walk, two hit batsmen and the 2 passed balls. Maybe "lack of pitching depth" was the wrong way to say that.

Now let's see if we can hold this lead. If we can, it will prove a lot to me. I know we have a couple of great weekend starters, but we've gotta make sure our bullpen can hold leads like this throughout the year. Giving up a run or two is no big deal, but we can't give up 6-7 runs to close the game.
