Jeff Jefferson, Luray, OF, Fr., Dry Fork, Va. (Liberty)

Looking at his four league games last week, Jefferson turned in a solid performance. However, factor in his production in Luray’s exhibition win over the Vienna Senators of the Clark Griffith League and his numbers become even more impressive. Altogether, he hit .455 (10-for-22) with seven runs, four home runs, and a league-best 11 RBIs. He slugged 1.000 and had a .500 on-base percentage. Against Vienna, he went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBIs, and two home runs in Luray’s 12-4 win, stats that will not factor into Jefferson’s official VBL season numbers. For the year, the Liberty Flame is hitting .343 with eight doubles, eight homers, 31 runs, 26 RBIs, and a .582 slugging mark.
For those of you unfamiliar with wood bat summer ball...those are just SICK numbers in any league...especially the VBL.

Ya know, I was really going to make a post soon about how I don't feel like people read and care about my posts, but your acknowledgment makes me feel good, thanks. :)
