We've talked about her many times on here. And I don't want this thread to digress into an argument about her father.

Friendly and sociable by nature, Brookville sophomore point guard Emilee Dunton takes on an entirely different persona when she puts on her game face on the basketball court.

She's still spontaneous and full of creative energy, but something about having a basketball in her hands brings out her competitive fire, even in practice situations.

she is a player and the way this brookville team has these early AM workouts shows they really want to win the state championship. i think it's cool RD has been working with the girls to help them improve.

Sherard has the made the transition from men's coach to ladies' coach. I wonder if RD could to the same (as an assistant)?

You know that's impossible.

IMO she is further along then her brother at this stage. But her brother didn't have too dominate players the way that B'ville does this year. The following two seasons will be hers to shine. (Until a certain school whose colors are blue and orange slap on the best lock down defender in the Seminole on her.! They are just resting up till next year LOL) She hasn't needed to do as much so it will be interesting to watch her game get better as she gets older. Also, IMO too early to tell where she would fall in the recruiting spectrum but DEF a player at the next level.

What do you know Purple? Its not like you're a ref or have any inside knowledge in the world of girls high school basketball. This is nothing more than an educated guess, IMO.... 8)

Anybody who is anybody, knows Amherst girls basketball is where it's at!!!!!

He already has. He's coaching her AAU team and they are a really good team. Coach is getting a chance to coach his daughter and help her improve. No one can fault him for that.

Anyone hear about what happened to her last night? I think there was an article in the newspaper about it. My dad just called me and said that a girl on the other team (Heritage?) went crazy and went after little D and scraped her eye and she had to go to the hospital. The girl was escorted off the court by police, from what my father heard it was quite the scene. Hopefully someone on here saw it or heard what happened and can give better details.

That's the local fishwrap writeup from last night and it has somewhat of an explanation of what happened.

It was against Staunton River and not Heritage.
Late in the fourth quarter, with Brookville up 60-41, Dunton was swiped in the face by Talika Robinson, who was going for a steal near midcourt.

As Dunton sat on the floor in tears, with a scrape beneath her left eye, Robinson charged toward a fan in Brookville's crowd who had yelled at and taunted her. She had to be restrained and eventually escorted out of the gym by police and will be suspended for Monday's game.

"Our coach told us to look at him and not be distracted, stay composed and ? finish the game," Tharrington said. "It was a little scary. I was like, 'I hope somebody really gets her under control' because she was going after people that were our fans."

Jones also had told her team not to listen to the crowd after an incident at Brookville.

"I'd already told them before the game that the fans were going to be ugly," Jones said. "We told Talika, 'You know they're going to say stuff. It's just not worth it.' And now, she's going to be missing the next game."

Some spin by the Staunton River coach worthy of the Clinton campaign. Here is a young lady who clearly has some serious issues which need to be adressed, and all the coach is worried about is covering her own axe and not having her player for the next game.

i was at that game with Brookville and Staunton River. That girl was a raging bull when she attempted to go into the stands to fight with the person who yelled and taunted her. She tried several times to rush the stands but the police restrained her and the fan was ejected from the game. There was about 4 or 5 people who had to restrain her. It was an ugly scene. Apparently this is not the first time this has happened to her.

Could you hear what the fan was saying to her?
