As most of you know I live in Seoul, Korea. I get back from practice today and turn on the TV only to see Katie playing in the WKBL (Womens Korean Basketball League). My wife and I would love to try and get in touch with her and show her around. Where are you bro-in-law? I need some contact info.

BYW- She was playing well but looked a little tired. Well back to the game.

That is extremely cool. I'm sure she would appreciate contact from the LU family over there.

And if you see any stories on her in the local fishwraps please post them on here for us.

11 points 14 rebounds in a loss. This is her second game in Korea. The team she is playing for is in last place.

Hey!

Was on the phone with Katie when we got the email last night! How'd you find my email anyway? :) She was excited to hear about some more American contact during her time over in Seoul. I gave her your numbers and then was going to send you hers, but couldn't remember the 47 digit phone number off the top of my head :) Sorry about the delayed response. I must have been studying when the boards made the switch over here.

I'm the guilty party getting you guys connected, drseth. I figured considering the circumstances you wouldn't mind.

I'm guessing some connection to back home would be welcome to Katie halfway around the globe.

Great!!! I'm looking forward to hearing from her. If you get a chance to send me her number that would be awesome. Remember I don't need all those extra #s. Thanks for your help Seth.

Am I missing something?

Did she not make it in the WNBA? Or is she just playing winter ball until she the WNBA kicks back up again?

Its the latter. She'll be back in San Antonio this summer. Most all WNBA players go overseas in the offseason.

The coaches over there decided to keep her and send home the Vet (Tanzella Smith sp?) that was there when she got there. MB will be heading over to visit her sister in a couple weeks. It should be fun. I'll get that number from MB when she gets home.

Thanks Seth!!! If MB and Katie need a tour guide Mrs. SeoulFlame and I would love to show them around. I would also love to introduce them to my girls team. I wanted to take my girls to see Katie play today but the game is at 2PM and we're still in school. O well, we'll watch the replay to night on TV. BTW my girls are 11-0, go Lady Guardians!

Katie had 29 pts and 22 boards in last nights win. She was in good spirits when I talked to her this morning.

I'll bet! Those are jawdropping numbers. I just hope she is adjusting to the cuisine over there.

SeoulFlame - check your PM. MB leaves Friday to visit her. Maybe you can get a 2 for 1 deal!

Thanks! Maybe I can get them to do a chapel or something. How does MB like speaking in public? Anyway I sent Katie a text message a few minutes ago. Thanks for the info. BTW- Her team is now in 4th instead of 6th(last) 7-9. Height matters in basketball especially in Korea.

Here is a video of some highlight from the last few games. Tameka Catchings is tearing it up over here. Her team is playing Katie's team on the video.

Enjoy- http://www.wkbl.or.kr/board/movie_view. ... vie&num=12

I covered a few of Tameka's hgih school games down here in Texas. She can dominate on just about any level when she is on her game.

I couldn't get the video clips to play. But its probably the machine I'm using at work.

I think they would do it together, but I don't want to speak for them i.e. get in trouble :)
