So I heard from the grapevine that if we were to beat JMU on Tuesday we'd have a decent shot at getting some votes on the AP 25 poll..... What do you all think and predict about this game??

We should have points now. Xavier did before we beat them. JMU has one lonely point in the USA Today/ESPN poll. None in the AP poll.

Guys, We are going to see JMU get multiple votes in the next AP & Coaches poll. They just walluped George Washington & have the 2nd best rpi of all non-top 25 teams in the nation (behind Georgia Tech) see http://collegerpi.com/women/ . AP votes seem to be hard for schools from small conferences to get. If we beet JMU we will get multiple votes in the coaches poll as well. A win against JMU could be in the top nine best wins in school history

The other eight being:

UVA x 2
WKU x 2
KSU
PSU
Depaul
Xavier

To my knowledge these are the only ranked team LU has beaten - I am right? I'm planning on coming to the game... I think it will be a barn burner.. A win against JMU would make this a 3rd season that we have beaten 2 or more ranked teams - While I'm making predictions - I think JMU is the best team left on the schedule aside from UNC. With Meredeth Alexis gone... LU may have the upper hand in the post this year - I was the game in Harrisonburg last year - Meredith was for JMU what Katie was for us - the towering, high scoring, player of the year for her conference. Needless to say with her gone... I'm looking forward to a barnburner...

Hopefully, the girls will bring their A game because that's what it will take. If they play the same way they played against Xavier in this game, they will win.

JMU is a really good squad. Being from the Tidewater area Ive had a chance to follow ODU (a rival of JMU in the CAA) and I can tell you that as good as ODU has been over the years, JMU has beaten them (and pretty soundly some times). They will probably give the Lady Monarchs a run for their money again in conference this year. If the Lady Flames can pick up a win here, it will definitely be a very good one.

Thanks...JMU actually beat ODU in 2000-2001 to end their 113-game CAA win streak (which started after a loss to them in 1994-1995)

Anyone care to predict a score?

(I wish Super would show up with his cheer sheets so the fans could do a dry run before the men's game).

I'll be there but won't be able to cheer like normal. I've gotta do stats for a class.

So I should sit behind you and bark out random numbers?

I'm excited about this game and I would be going if I didn't have a game myself, but I think it will be a hard fought game and will take the whole team to play together well to win it, but others will have step up and score along with Megan who will hopefully have a monster game like she did against UVA last year! Go Lady Flames!

All you have to do is click on his link in the Cheer Sheet forum and download them. It ain't rocket science...it's even easier than early American Literature.

Fumble's a little touchy about all the LC jokes going around. And he wouldn't know Washington Irving if he walked into a training room and asked for a Band-Aid for his headless horseman.

Washington Irving, is he a guard? I'm pretty sure he plays the 2 and can play the 3, but I'm not sure.

A sharp tongue is the only edge tool that grows keener with constant use.

So, Fumblerooskies, who are you cheering for tonight? (Regardless of whether or not you're actually attending.)
