Has their been any rumors on recruits coming in next year?

I believe we got one girl from DC pending on grades. I think her name is Avery. I heard that LU is looking to recruit her team mate who is a point guard for the 07-08 season too.

Does the team have any open scholarships? No seniors this year.

They have two scholarships. I believe one of them was given to Avery. Not sure about the other scholie.

Do we have any info. on the girl from DC?

I think she is a guard/foward or either a post. Maybe FSN32 can expand on this a little bit or SCAR can.

The DC girl is very much in LU's scope....Coach Green has been waiting for a day game to get to see her again though....rough neighborhood....thats what we need though, girls like the LSU big man....and I do mean MAN

I am assuming you mean Sylvia Fowles of LSU women's basketball team.

I am a little confused, I think we are talking about 2 teammates from the same school. So far the guard has signed, correct? What about the big man/woman?

I don't remember her being anywhere near 6-5. I think she is 5-11 and plays small forward and maybe some guard but that was months ago so I can't remember for sure. We need our women's insiders to come on here and clear this up including giving us Avery's last name because I can't remember it for the life of me.

According to the stats, she missed some games at the beginning of the year (maybe b/c of a knee injury from last season) but once she got back in the fold she was getting double digit points and rebounds most games... including a game with 29 points and 17 rebounds. Her team finished runners up for the city title.

wow. sounds impressive.

that and the Frazee sisters + the shooting guards coming back = another BSOUTH championship.

maybe even back to the sweet 16

I believe the coaching staff is looking at her teammate for 07-08 season. Her name is Tia Bell who will be a senior at HD Woodson HS she is 6'3" and she is a guard/shooting guard. I would imagine she could play just about all five positions. SCAR or FSN32 can jump in and elaborate on this or correct me.

I checked the roster for HD Woodson HS and found that this is the only junior on the team from this past season.

Also if you put Avery Warley in a search engine there will be some stories there on what her and her teammates did against some opponents this past season.

i saw the girls work out a few times and didn't see the new girl. maybe im just blind, but did we actually sign a freshmen? i never saw an article on it.
